My Journey: Metformin and getting pregnant

My husband and I have been TTC for over a year. We've had two miscarriages over the last year(early around 6 wks) and have a daughter who is 6 (so we know it worked in the past..) Anyways. I've gained some weight over the past few years - I'm not that overweight but I could lose some.. After the 2nd mc my ob said I should go to a fertility specialist for some diagnostic testing. So far the only thing that came back weird was the glucose tolerance test (that nasty orange drink) they put me on metformin - didn't say I had diabetes, just that the insulin levels could be throwing off my other hormones. .. Anyone else on metformin? Is it going to help us get and stay pregnant?!
