What did you leave the hospital in?

After you gave birth what kind of clothes did you leave the hospital in? Should I bring a jacket for my baby or wrap her in a blanket?

With my oldest it was April so I wore joggers and a T-shirt, he wore a vest, onsie and a coat and hat.

With my youngest it was Xmas eve, I wore a PJ jumper (massive fluffy thing) and jeans. He wore a vest, onsie, snowsuit, hat and 2 blankets (Scotland, was below freezing)

I had my son in August. I wore yoga pants and a tank top as I slowly waddled out of the hospital. He had on a onsie, socks, and we wrapped a blanket around his legs. We only live 5 minutes from the hospital so we were home pretty quick.

She'll need to go in a car seat before you leave so I just put my daughter in an undershirt, a footed onsie and I put a blanket over her after she was done up in the car seat.
I wore my Lululemon yoga pants home with a baggy shirt and my sweater.

Depends on the weather. If it's cold then a onesie and a warm blanket but warm just a sleeper and a light blanket is fine

I left in a loose tshirt and gym shorts. I didn't care what I looked like...comfort was all I was worried about. I also had to wear flip flops. My feet were so swollen from all the fluids that I couldn't fit into my tennis shoes. I had my baby in june and she came home in a sleeper and a warm blanket. They say baby should be dressed in one more layer than you. But you'll know once your baby is born and your mother instincts will kick in ☺️
