How does it feel?

So I found out im going to be induced with potocin are are there any new mommys out there that received the same meds if so how was the experience?

I elected for induction cuz I lived an hour and a half from my hospital.... was at a 0cm and 0% effaced.... only problem we had was 1, baby wouldn't stay still to stay on the heart monitor so they had to break my water and put a monitor on her head. 2, I wound up going in the day before my scheduled due to bp, and haven't eaten when I left home thinking I'd be home after doc apt. Needless to say, I finally begged long enough and was given a jello cup, which DID NOT go over well! The contractions started making me throw up so they made me get the epidural to help with it cuz it was starting to stress baby.... other then those 2 SMALL issues, it was easy and great. Total of 10hours 2 mins, and a total of 3 pushes.... I opted for an induction with this one too.... (but then found out my doc induced everyone)....

Pitocin helped me a ton with getting my labour to start again. I tried my hardest to not get an epidural, my labour started 12pm Monday afternoon. I didn't get an epidural until Tuesday around 12 or 1pm and I was 8cm dilated. Once I got the epidural my labour stopped for 5 hours until they gave me the pitocin and my contractions started back up again!! 5 hours later my handsome prince was born! 😍

Pitocin worked well for me but contractions were intense and close together. Epidural was heavenly.

I was induced with pitocin but also had other meds for preeclampsia and got the epidural.  No issues at all and felt fine.  I was so exhausted at that point that being able to take a couple of naps was amazing.

I was induced at 41+1 and once they started the pitocin my contractions were incredibly intense and back to back. It was definitely painful and exhausting. I tried to go natural but my epidural was a dream come true!!

I was induced. My epidural only numbed my feet and didn't work. Made me sick and shiver bad. Pitocin was awful it gives much stronger contractions and their nasty sorry but thats how it was for me

I was a rare case. Pitocin did not work on me. They had me on it for 12 hours and I was having contractions but didn't feel them and after 12 hours I was not dialated any more and he was no further down. They gave me a 2 hour break to eat and let it all flush out of me and then started me back on it. Again, nothing. So finally I had to make the call for them to just go in and take him through c-section. They called it a failed induction :/.

I was induced with pitocin with my fist born got there about 9:30am didn't deliver him until 12:36am it was horrible (sorry don't wanna scare you) and my epidural didn't work with the exception of just having numb legs and the meds made my babies heart rate drop. It all came out fine in the end he was healthy and I tore but didn't need stitches i was just mad because I was induced a week early because "he was a big baby" and he was only 7lbs I rather had just went on my own and stuck with my natural water birth I planned

I was induced and it wasn't a big deal at all. I got an epidural and delivered within 10 hours
