I'm ready to get tested :-( After 2 years of trying and 4 of not preventing, we are ready to find out what's up. So I called an Infertility Specialist to schedule testing. She asked me if I'd been diagnosed etc. I've never taken anything, I'm regular, and get Positive Ovulation tests every month. She tells me my OBGYN should have prescribed me Clomid or a HGC (I think that's right). My question is: do doctors prescribe Clomid if you haven't had blood work or tests ran? I was thinking that they'd do semen analysis or blood work before that. Is that wrong? Do they test for everything or just some things? How is this suppose to work? How long does it take? A few weeks/months? Trying to get some answers without several MORE months or another year going by...
