No induction?

Question

Am I the only one not getting induced? My doctor has never once mentioned induction with my first or this time around. I'm 40 weeks today and nothing is happening but as I read others posts it seems that everyone has an induction scheduled even if there are no health problems present. Just curious if you ladies asked your doctor about it or if they suggested it. Thanks!!

My doctor is inducing me at 41 weeks on Thursday because he's said he's getting to big for the placenta and he might poop in the womb. I have to get it done it done for his safety and that's all I care about. If I need a csection fine. I don't care how I have my baby as long as he is safe and healthy.

It depends on the OBGYN mine offers the induction at 39 weeks even without it  being medically necessary. I opted not too and wanted to go natural but went in for my bi weekly appointment this morning since I'm 40 weeks tomorrow and I had really low fluid so I'm getting induced right now.

im going be 40 weeks on thursday i see ppl getting induces at 38 or 39 with no reson for it im just here like really 😑😑 they havent even metion shit to me about if she come on her due date i really dnt wna pass more 40 weeks

Not planning to be induced unless a really good reason comes up. My midwives doesn't start considering induction unless something goes wrong or until around 42 weeks- and not many women go that far past their due date.

I got induced at 39 for medical reasons. She's 2 weeks old now and especially during her fussy times it makes me sad to think about how she could still be in my belly developing and happy as can be. Let those babies cook! It's a rough world out here!

Mine doesn't like to do inductions before the cervix is ready. I was 39 weeks on Sunday, had my checkup yesterday and was not dilated so she said we aren't going to talk about that until next Monday, when I'm 40+1. And we will talk about induction, and mentioned something about a c section.

But my best friend had her baby over a year ago, and her doctor induced her the day after her due date because he didn't want her to have a baby over 8lbs.

I'm getting induced between 39-40 weeks because I have HG and the baby is measuring so big they're worried about me not being able to have a vaginal birth with him being so big. I'm not a small person but I have a tiny pelvis

I am currently 40w4d. I went yesterday and she did a sweep. I am 3 cm and 75% thinned out.. The ultrasound machine was down so she sent me to labor and delivery. The ultrasound tech said he weighs 9 lbs 1 oz. He is showing no signs of coming. I have another appointment friday. She hasn't said one word about inducing me.... The sweep made me cramp for a couple hours then nothing. So I guess will see how Friday's appointment goes. I'll be 41 weeks friday. So discouraged.

Mine didn't mention it until I was 41 weeks. I'm a 4th time mom and never been induced. 
1st baby 5 days late 
2nd baby 12 days late~ induction was scheduled for 42 weeks 
3rd baby 3 days early 
4th baby born November 17 at 8 days late with induction scheduled at 10 days over because of 2 days of prodromal labor. 
I'm scared to be induced, I'd rather wait it out as long as possible.

I'm being induced on Monday 11/28 if nothing happens soon. My DD was the 19th and I haven't progressed at all. Hoping I just go naturally.
