Baby or braxton hicks?

I really can't remember much from my first pregnancy 6 years ago and I also can't remember if I've asked this before. Lol. pregnancy brain. How can you tell the difference between a braxton hicks contraction and just your baby pressing his head down? My baby's head down so sometimes I'm not sure what I'm feeling. What are you ladies experiencing? How can you tell? I keep forgetting to ask my dr.
