When are the standard well checks for babies?

So far I did the initial appt, 1 month, 2 month is today. So what's the standard schedule after this point?

We had an appointment at 2 weeks and they said since everything appeared good and he was gaining weight, that we didn't need to come back until 2 months.

Is that normal?

My clinic is:

2 days
2 weeks
2 months
4 months
6 months
9 months
12 months
18 months 
...every year until school age

I think the next one is at 4 months for another round of shots.

I would sick of the drs. In the uk we just have the midwife for first 10-14 days who comes to your home. Then 8,12 and 16 weeks for weight and injections then not again till around 9 month to a year. Then a 2 year check that's it. Obviously if you have concerns you can see them but I don't need baby weighed constantly and to just go to say baby is fine to me is pointless.
