How long after delivery did you shower?

I feel like I would want to shower right away but my birthing class instructor said it's better to wait..something with hormones I think she said.

As soon as my epidural wore off. I couldn't wait to shower! Felt amazing

After 12 hours. I had my son at night so had to wait until the next day till I went home. showering didn't even cross my mind straight after giving birth. Wasn't my priority at that time

The nurse kept telling me to shower first an hour after they dropped me off in my room and then again an hour or 3 after... it was already 11pm. i really didn't feel like it at the time, I was so tired. I had been awake for more than 24 hours before I gave birth. I really hope my next labour will be in the early afternoon so I get some time to take my breath 😆

I had a bath rather than shower with both my babies but was within a few hours.

Gave birth at 5 am remember getting out of shower around 11am. The hospital bathroom had a pull out chair so I sat on it while washing my hair and shaving. It felt like heaven . If you get an epidural , you'll have a caution bracelet after 24 hours after delivery so that's why I chose to sit.

I gave birth at 11:03pm, had a shower around 12am or 1 am, wasn't really watching the clock though. But I needed it so much, it was awesome to wash off all the sweat, blood, and wash my hair and clean up a bit. My body just felt so much better and relaxed after a hot shower.
