Too sudden!?

So I'm due January 13th or 14th w.e and we just decided that we want to have our baby shower on my bday which is a week from now.. Is it too sudden? I don't really want people to be rushing to get us gifts or them not being able to show up.

Not too bad actually ... because people usually forget it it's any later than that lol. But I would give it at least two weeks...

I would give it a minimum of two weeks. You don't know when everyone gets paid(may not even be able to get you a gift in the next week) and a lot of people probably already have plans for next weekend since it's so soon!

Kind of soon. You might not get the things you registered for if they aren't available in-store. Do whatever you want though! Maybe just ask for gift cards or something

I had mine planned. Kinda. For 2 weeks out. But most of the info was shared at 1 week before. 
Nobody showed up. But that was because the people planning my shower sucked at giving a crap. 
Make sure people know where when and whatnot and you should be fine.

The gift buying isn't much of an issue, but with such short notice people may have other plans unless you already are on their schedule for your bday.

People buy gifts the morning of... so it should be fine.  If you wait another week, people will have conflicts with Christmas parties.
