Baby Shower Entitlement Rant

My question is - Why are moms of 2, 3, 4 children posting sob stories about how no one will throw them a shower? Did everyone forget this is a FIRST baby event? 

I get that sometimes there are circumstances where that can change- i.e. It's been 10 years since your first. However, no one owes you a shower in any circumstance. They're a lot of work, they're expensive, and you don't "deserve" one just because you're having a baby. If friends and family are NICE enough to throw you one, attend, and  buy gifts then that's awesome. If not, maybe you need to consider what you're whining about. 

You chose to get pregnant. You chose to have a baby. You already had one, so you knew the costs. You knew you would need a lot of items. Why did you get pregnant for the SECOND, THIRD, or FOURTH time expecting everyone in your life to pay your way? 

Baby stuff is expensive- SO BUY USED if you are broke. Go to garage sales. Figure it out, you're an adult. No one pays your rent or mortgage because "you're broke". You figure it out like a big girl. 

Lastly, why did you get rid of all your baby shit from the first baby? You didn't want to store it? So now everyone has to buy the same gifts for you AGAIN? And you're mad if they don't?
