Christmas card etiquette?? help!

This will be my first year sending out Christmas cards! I'm super excited, we went and took cute family pictures with Santa as well as one with my 4month old and Santa that I plan on using, problem is most of the card designs I'm find say 'from 'the smiths' or have a big focus on the families last name, problem is we're not married so I don't share the same last name as my boyfriend and our daughter, do I go ahead and put the 'the smiths' anyways, or just skip the last name all together??
