Pit bull/Rottweiler/lab mix

My neighbor is selling puppies.

I'm interested but I've heard negative feedback on them.

Any tips or experience?

If you raise the puppy in a loving home then it should be fine. All of those breeds when raised properly are the best dogs.

The breed doesn't matter it's how you treat it and train it. If you treat the puppy right and train it right it'll be a wonderful dog.

Great mixture it's the human that makes the dog a great dog. Not the dog does bad things. With great training and consistency and patience all those breeds are very smart and very stubborn you'll have a great dog.
I rescued a born partially blind and also deaf pittie two years ago her name is Cowlie Cow for short. I'm a nanny and always bring my nanny kids to see my dog they love her

I'm a first time pit owner, and I can say I am pleasantly surprised! They are made out to be unpredictable but my boy is so so gentle and smart. My advice is that socialization is key! When we first got him we took him everywhere. We had him around kids, adults, cars, football games, and most importantly other dogs. You have to give them a positive expirence early in life so they won't be scared or timid as 70 pound adults. I think most aggressive dogs are scared dogs. So I say you should go for it because it is so rewarding, but only if you will have time and patience when it comes to obedience training and socialization and exercise. They will give you so much love! I think a good idea is the puppy play dates at petco. They are in supervised environments & are free! Good luck x

I had a rottweiler growing up they are big but he was just a big baby. When I got pregnant with my son he followed me everywhere and slept under my bed until he was born then he slept near the bassinet.. I miss him.

I had a rottweiler for 10years growing up. He was the best dog I ever had. He was my bestfriend. I miss him everyday still. I think yes get one. Just train him/her and you will be alright 👍🏻☺️

I have a pit mix that is the sweetest dog in the world! (Way sweeter than our beagle!) if you do get a puppy, jut be sure to spend a lot of time training it well. That's gonna be a strong dog, so you'll want it to listen and obey well. Our pit mix is really smart and has been easy to train.

My parents have a pit/lab mix and she's honestly the sweetest dog I've ever met. She almost seems human lol she knows my car when I pull in their driveway and greets me every time.

I would be more concerned about theparents health than the breed mix. Do either parents have hip issues or sight issues etc. be prepared for this to be a strong larger dog so you need to train and be in control. Teach good leash habits etc.

There are books you should read of you are considering that mix.  Dogs have a wolf pack like mentality,  so if you are not able to defend your pack then it forces the dog to get aggressive.  Make sure you have plenty of time to dedicate to training as those are the most vital months.  They should let they're teeth on nothing,  but toys that cannot be mistaken for anything else.
