rabbit or hamster ?

So we want to get a small animal for our son for Christmas, I've had a hamster before so I know how fun they are and how to take care of them. I never had a rabbit only as a small child so i dont know much about them but I will do more research. I want to know your experience if you've had or have a rabbit, please let me know anything!

We have a pet rabbit now. We had one before this one who we got from  someone who wasn't taking care of her. We had her for 9 years and not sure exactly how long they had her., but approximately 2. She was a Holland lop. She was wonderful. She slept in the  dog bed  with out saint Bernard and 2 chihuahuas.  She was very easy to litter train. Such a gentle little creature. She was great with the kids ND came out to play outside. Loved to cuddle the kids.. she had steps up into our daughters bed for night. Our new rabbit is a lion head cross... she's nice but just not Mary. She's not as much of a people rabbit. We still have all our dogs and now 2 cats also who all get along great.  She is litter trained and intelligent.  But she doesn't like to be carried around and dressed up and ride in baby buggies like Mary did. If you get a rabbit.. I suggest a Holland Lop.

Hamsters bite soooo much! My parents got my daughter hamsters when she was 2 they were the worst pet ever. They bite and poop non-stop. A rabbit or even guinea pig is a much better option. They love and are fun.

Ive had a let rabbit for 7 years. They are not easy to take care of. They will eat cords,wood,anything. And not only will it ruin your stufd,it makes them sick. 
Ive spent 5k on my bunny. Call me ridiculous,but hes my child. 
And rabbits need lots of love. They get depressed. 
But most importabtly their stomachs are sooo sensitive. Like lettuce and carrots on a rarw occassion,not all the time like everyone thinks.Do lots of research! But i suggest a hampster or guinea pig

Teddy bear hamsters are pretty friendly. My friend had a rabbit and she was so scared! Couldn't even hold her. So I guess it depends on the rabbits personality 😕

They do not recommend a rabbit as a pet for anyone under 10. They can die from being scared and little kids and seem very scary to them.

Rabbit. You can litter box train them. Also, rabbits like small spaces. So even if you let them have free range, you need somewhere for them to go and hide. 
My daughter has show rabbits and they are by far the easiest animal we have ever owned, and we have an entire barn. She started showing around 4yrs old and is now 10. She raises minilops, netherland dwarfs, and flemish giants. Minilops are the calmest breed. They are bigger than a holland lop but generally have much. Etter temperaments. Get a quality feed from a local mill if possible and dont feed it the garbage from pet stores.

If forced I'd pick a hamster if it lived inside or rabbit if it lived outside. Rabbit urine is VERY strong.

I always had rabbits, they're super awesome if you get a nice one! I've had super Agro ones that chased the dogs too 😂
