Instagram is a social media platform where you LIKE other people's photos.
If you let social media play that big of a role in your relationships, I don't think that you are very mature and you don't have a strong relationship.
I think it gets a bad rap because teenage girls use it as an excuse for their failed relationships. Communication is key. Don't blame social media. Even if he comments "babe you're so hot 😍" on another girl's profile picture, that's his fault so don't go blaming Mark Zuckerberg for it.
The internet doesn't ruin relationships, people do.
