What now??

Okay so in June I have to get my Iud out because it will be 5 years. I have loved it made my periods almost disappear and made them not as painful. Now I'm trying to decide what to use after I get it out I could get another one but it feels so unnatural not having a period and I never gave myself the opportunity to have a regular period I was young when I got it so I don't know what to do I really don't want to be on birth control anymore I wanna give my body the chance to get regular. I have talked to my boyfriend about this and he agrees we would definitely be using condoms and he's okay with that. I just need some advise/opinions on what I should do! What birth control has the least amount of hormones and side effects?
