A worried girlfriend

Okay so my boyfriend and I haven't been together that long but we were best friends before we got together so it's like we already know each other. He knows my insecurities and knows about my depression, which not many people do. And I cut again the other day after a long time and he was, of course, upset. But we did talk it through and we're okay. But there are also a lot of things I'm scared about: he travels A LOT. What if he falls in love with someone else? He has SO many injuries, because he works in sports. What will he do if he gets injured too bad or has too many surgeries that he won't be able to play anymore? We don't get to see each other again until 2021. What if he falls out of love with me? What if he is just saying "I love you" because he feels like he has to? He did say it to me first, but still. Does he believe I am saying it back just because he said it? I love him, I really do. I always have. I don't know what I would do without him 😰
