Left sided ovary = girl??

This is just a theory.. I'm asking if anyone here has any history supporting this? I know in general it's the male who determines the sex, but I'm also reading different theories online that support the idea when you release the egg from the left it's more likely a baby girl..

I don't think there's any merit to that. It's your vaginal pH vs the male's swimmers that determine, and that's it.

Yup all in the sperm. My egg was released from my left ovary (doc could tell from the ultrasound) and we're having a boy.

It's not "in general" that the male determines the sex - it's 100% of the time. Anyone that's saying different is uneducated.

The egg has an X chromosome and the sperm has either an X Or a Y chromosome - therefore determining the gender 
Xx= female 
Xy= male

All eggs are X chromosome, no matter which side its released from. Sperm are both X and Y, hence sperm being soley responsible for gender. XX is girl, XY is boy.
