I'm so worried!
My boyfriend plans to go to Cuba with his family in January and of course I was happy for him since that's where half of his family is from, so it would be nice to be more in touch with his culture!
Until he told me that when they bought their plane tickets, it said something like "this is a communist country, what ever happens there's nothing we can do about it" in all caps 😷
He told me that Cuba see things like this; if you're a US citizen, but you're Cuban, they just see you as Cuban and can take away your passport and make you stay there even if you didn't want to. What made me worry more was when he mentioned that the age to join the army was 16 so anyone 16+ could be forced into it if that ever happened!
His parents are unsure about going now, but there's still a high chance they might go. Idk if I'm overthinking this or not! I'm just so worried that something bad might happen! Am I over exaggerating for being this worried? I'm not trying to stop him from going or anything though
