huge baby!?

Question

Had my 30 week ultrasound and the tech said she was 3lbs 8oz. Is it just me or doesn't that sound huge for only being 30 weeks!? She said she was at the 48th percentile, so right under average but everyone is telling me she's big!! Help! Am I gonna have a huge baby!?!?

My son was born at 29 weeks. He was 3lb 14oz. I was told he was really big for his age. Most babies at that age are more around the 2.5-3lb mark. So your baby seems about average.

My baby measured 5lb 12oz at 32 weeks. 95th percentile!

At my 31 week ultrasound my baby was measuring 4lbs. I'm afraid I'm going to have a big baby also lol. I know they are just estimates and can be wrong but it still makes me wonder. I get another ultrasound on the 20th and I will be almost 36 weeks. Can't wait to see how big he is going to be

Im apparently having a big bub too, Im 34 weeks pregnant, bump is measuring 4 weeks ahead so I had my growth scan yesterday and bubs is measuring over 36 weeks and measuring a bit bigger than 6 pounds already. Had my midwife appointment today, they want me to see the resident doctor there at the hospital in 2 weeks time instead of my regular midwives and have another growth scan done again. They're apparently expecting to induce early.

48th percentile is actually perfect, my baby girls last ultrasound @ 29w2d has her in the 95th percentile! I'm worried I'm gonna have to give birth to a 9 or 10 pounder but I've read that the weight estimates can be off by a pound or two so crossing fingers she'll be a nice healthy 7 to 8 pounds :)

Sounds normal! The percentile tells you if it's considered big or not. Also the weight is just an estimate and could be wrong
