Is 3 the magic baby number? Or is 2 enough?

Feeling like ill regret not having a 3rd. Anyone wanna share their thoughts or any momma's of 3 out there wanna give me some input? Working on convincing my SO. He thinks 2 is the magic number, I want another and then i feel like ill be done :p

I've been told you'll never regret having a 3rd kid but you'll regret not having that 3rd if that's what you want. I don't think there is any magic number, it's just how many you want & are able to have

I think it's just a really personal decision. I was 1 of 2, but my sister died at age 16. So now I have no siblings and hate it. My mom confided in me that she'd always wanted a 3rd, but money/timing/jobs etc were never "just right." So I got married, had 2, wanted a 3rd, but our relationship ended. I've wanted a 3rd since my last was born (nearly 13 years ago!). So the feeling never ever went away and I was doing my best to accept that it wouldn't happen. I just came to peace with it.... And now, my baby #3 will be born any time now! So I think it's a gut decision that only you can figure out!

I have 4. Going from 2 to 3 was for me the easiest transition. And it's a perfectly fine number. It hasn't made anything harder that anyone listed like hotels or going out to eat. We plan 1-2 more. 1 more and we still fit in an average SUV or van. :) 
I don't think there is a universal magic number at all. Just what is right for your family.

I have two brothers so I come from a family of 5 including my parents - I was the 3rd child and only happened because they wanted a girl so they tried once more. I would like to have 3 myself but someone recently pointed some things out to me: if you have 3 children, it is harder to rent hotel rooms for vacations, there is always an uneven number for rides, the car would always be full unless you that an SUV or van, finding a table at a restaurant (most tables fit 4, and a lot of restaurants suggest reservations for 5+) - he was basically just saying that from his experience of having 3 kids (who are now grown), it made things more complicated sometimes, including financially. Write a pros and cons list and then talk to your husband about it. If your other children are older, even by a few years, your third child might always feel left out from their siblings.

I want 3 also. I grew up with two sisters and I loved it. My SO is an only child so I only wanted 1. I talked him into 2, but I feel I will resent him if I am never given the chance to have a 3rd. His thoughts on why three is too many are totally stupid. I just hope he doesn't get snipped until I am totally ready. We are not married yet, so I have no say in the matter. If he does get snipped before I am ready, I know I will resent him forever. He thinks that if we have a boy and a girl i will be happy, but it isn't the gender for me, it is the number.
