Will he ever?

I've been with my partner for 27 months now and we've been through So much, and have recently had a beautiful baby boy. I just don't feel like he's ever going to propose, when we first got together he did tell me songs he wants at his wedding but I just don't think hell ever propose... Plus he was with his ex four years and they had a son together too and he didn't propose to her... I want to get married and we always say we want to be together forever.. Oh I dont know. Does anyone else feel like this..
