Bump in front of ear? anybody know about this? NEED HELP☹️

I've had this bump/lump in front of my ear for several years and I haven't done anything about it because I haven't had any pain. But recently I've been getting dizzy spells but I'm not sure if it's from my ear. Also I sometimes hear high pitching in my ear for about 5 seconds and it goes away. It's not visible but you can feel it, it gets smaller and bigger on some days. I went to the doctor and he said it's an ear infection and prescribed me with ear drops and stuff, I'm not sure if it's an infection though since I had it for so long wouldn't it have gotten much worse than this and wouldn't I have an earache? I added a pic of the spot where the bump is 😣 I'm just trying to see your ladies' opinions on it and if you had similar experiences.
