Should I get tested?

Question

I'm 16. I've hooked up with 11 people (That includes anything from making out to having sex). I have had sex with one person, my ex boyfriend who cheated on me 6 times (as far as I know). Last week I hooked up with a guy with a reputation of sleeping around. We came very close to unprotected sex but there was no real penetration.

I haven't had any symptoms of an STD but should I get tested anyways?
FYI, I really don't need a lecture about being a slut so please only give advice and don't criticize me.

EDIT: As I am only 16 I don't know where I could go to get tested. Advice is greatly appreciated.

You should absolutely get tested. Lots of STD's can be symptom free for a long time. HIV being one of them. It can be symptom free for up to 10 years. My mom has HIV and trust me, you need to catch it early. My mom is in and out of hospitals due to the HIV.  Medication to keep her alive is thousands of dollars.

Always get tested. It would be even better if you could convince the other person to get tested BEFORE the sex (I know that's not always possible). Please be careful.

Unless you're in a committed sexual relationship(any type of sex) and having sex it's not a bad idea to get checked frequently anyways. At least once a year would be rad. 😊

It's best to get tested before or after each partner. And also ask when the next time they were tested was. All throughout my high school years I went and got tested with my sexual partners and if they wouldn't then I just wouldn't have sex with them, but you'd be surprised by how many guys decide to finally do it just because they want sex lol! I know that sounds excessive but I'm super persistent when I tell girls to make sure their guys are tested because the one time I let a guy pass without proving he got tested to me I ended up getting genital herpes lol just my luck I guess. But anyways point is, better safe than sorry! Get tested often and make sure the boys are clean too!

There are free clinics everywhere in Canada to get tested. I'm not sure about where you are. I would get tested for the peace of mind.

It wouldn't get to get tested. I'm not saying you have STDs but getting tested will give you a peace of mind, and you will know you are good to go for the next time you have sex. Better to be safe than sorry.
