should I test or not

So me and my SO have been ttc since this past October. I have had my period in October and November. This month i have been having very light spotting and I'm not sure if it's my period or not. Last week I also had light spotting and then it was gone that same day and I have had light spotting all day today when I wipe but nothing on my panties... should I take a pregnancy test or wait until the end of the week to see if I start my period?
