Extremely Sharp Back Pain

So last night out of nowhere I got the sharpest pain in my upper to mid back to where I could barely even move. Trying to stand or sit up straight was impossible due to the pain. I have never experienced that type of pain. is that normal?? Ive read back pain is common during pregnancy especially in the third trimester but this kind of pain didn't feel normal. it really hurt and I could barely make any movements without getting that shooting pain in my back. :(
