how different is it having 3?

Hi girls, I'm just wondering how different it is having a third child?

I have heard people say it's not much different than having two unlike the jump from one - two.
Then others have said it's a lot different and find it much much harder.

I have two already, 6 with learning and behaviour difficulties, a 2 year old and in my first trimester with my 3rd.

You may need a bigger car , 2 boxes of Mac and cheese instead of one, 2 pizzas on pizza night just small changes but nothing as life changing as the 1st.

I think emotionally it's hard to go from 1 to 2 because you can't imagine how your love will multiply, but going from 2 to 3 just involved a little time management, & going from 3 to 4 was easy. I'm due this spring, so I'm expecting that going from 4 to 5 will be smooth. I always find the first 6 months a bit like organized chaos as you get to know the new baby's personality & your other kids adjust & you figure out the best nap & bedtimes, but after that it gets easier. I had my first 3 kids in 3.5 years & my 2nd has autism, so I understand the time involved in caring for a special needs child, but you can parent 3 kids. And the best part is you just doubled the siblings for each child :) There is something special when you have more kids than arms & I hope you experience that quickly after birth :)

Currently expecting number 4 and have a 10,4,2 yr olds. Bringing home the 3rd felt like the house was really full.

I'm in a similar situation but I think my kids are 5(autism&adhd) and a four year old. Honestly I think it's going to pose a bit of a challenge for me because my son requires so much attention and it was already tough trying to give them both the attention they needed/deserved however since my son is in school now I'm able to spend time with my daughter while he's gone. Your daughter will probably soon be turning three or will have turned 3 by the time you have the baby but if she's not in preschool she may still look for the attention that she's been receiving as the baby, which may be challenging. And it maybe a little more challenging when all three at home and needing that attention as well. With that being said we are super women and I know we can do what it takes to get things done. I just wanted to be realistic based on the details you provided in your OP. Congrats and I'm know you got this!
