I tested positive 3 days before my period was due. I had very predictable cycles though. Regardless when you test before it's due, you're going to want to test again after your period is due.

I tested 3 days before and got a negative. Tested day of and got a positive on a cheapie, first response, and a digital. I tested because I felt nauseous and then it was late. I wasn't trying but I still tracked my cycles out of habit.
