help? advice? something?

So I've been talking to this amazing guy for almost 3 months now. I've kind of been curious as to why he hasn't made it official yet because we've gotten so so close and basically act like a couple anyways. My friend and this guy she's been talking to was going through this drama and it got me and my guy talking and he threw this at me. His ex and him broke up December of last year. He's seriously such an amazing person and I just enjoy his company and of course will wait as long as I need to. But I can't help but feel a little hurt for this?? Is that wrong of me? I'm not sure how to handle this because I thought things were so great.
