Rough sex

My bf doesn't really know that I'm into rough sex and being completely dominated in bed. I've brought up things I want him to try like choking me and cumming inside me but he says he doesn't want to hurt me and hes not into it. He won't even have sex with me without a condom even though I'm on birth control. It's just so frustrating because I've always done things I'm not 100% confident with and he's not even willing to compromise. It sounds really selfish to ask him to do things he doesn't want to do but it's gotten to the point I've started fantasizing about having sex with other people. Am I a terrible person?
