due date off? help.

My period due date would be Valentine's Day. 2/14/17 
Her measurements are due date 2/5/17. (She is a big baby)

My doctor changed what he told me and said 2/17/17, I corrected him, he stated well it will probably be around valentines- I'm doing vaginal (as long as everything is good) and reminded him that her measurements are ahead and my period was a guesstimate. He kinda blew me off about it- from experience moms- what does this look like? 2/5? 2/14?

Third pregnancy in a year- 1st was late term
Miscarriage in L/D

2nd was early loss

3rd is this one- successful and healthy

They reckon that up until 13 weeks every baby grows exactly the same and any measurement taken before this is accurate. Meaning if you were told at a scan in this window a due date it's going to be the closest to your actual delivery date.
Just remember it's only an estimation and baby will come when it's ready to.

Be happy he is saying 2/17. That gives you more wiggle room of you go over that day. If you went with 2/5 and all of a sudden it's a week later the doctors will get anxious and push induction. If you go with the later date and you go around the 5th it isn't a big deal. See where I'm going with this? Almost always better to go with a further date.

At your earliest ultrasound what did your doctor say your due date was based off measurements? The earlier you measure the baby, the more accurate your date should be. I was told that babies generally grow at the same rate in the beginning and at different rates later on in pregnancy.

My doc said the same thing. I was due 2/23 but had an anatomy scan at 20 weeks saying his measurements was a week earlier to 2/14...told my regular ob that and she didn't seem to care...then I went to the emergency room for some bleeding and cramping due to early contractions and the ultrasound tech there also said he his measurements were a week ahead giving me the due date of 2/14 not 2/23...again told my ob that now 2 docs have said he is measuring a week ahead...she still didn't seem to want to listen...I just tell people 2/14 cause I
Like calling him my little Cupid haha. He will come when he is ready...just stay healthy and positive and all will be fine 😀
