doula or no doula?

Is it worth the money? Did you like them being there? What all do they do??

Had a doula with my first and strongly recommend it! She was wonderful. Helped me stay calm and find positions that helped with the pain, massages, had all kinds of things with her including a water bottle and snacks. My doula was also a massage therapist and I got two free massages as well. The biggest thing for me is that she was an advocate for me when she felt the nurses weren't listening to me. I'll have a doula with my next baby as well.
