middle of night feeding and diaper change

When you wake up in the middle of the night to nurse, do you go ahead and change LOs diaper? I have been doing this but wonder if it could wait because she cries. Maybe she would go back to sleep quicker if we just nursed. I keep reading where women are waking up in the middle of the night to do "dream feeds". I don't see how this is a dream feed if I'm waking her up crying with a diaper change.
