who has cheated now or in the past?

Can I ask what the situation was, and did you feel guilty? It's for my pyschology work I need people's views

I've never been cheated on. But my sophomore year in HS, ON Christmas, my mom, my siblings, and I had found out my dad had been cheating. It ended very badly and a long 3 years going back and forth to court. I know it was my mom that was cheated on, but it left a big hole in my heart too. Both parents are remarried. My dad is married to the woman he cheated with. They don't have a healthy relationship. He sleeps on the couch most of the time and she's caused him to become distant with his ENTIRE family. My mom is in a relationship with an amazing guy. I hate the reason why they got divorced and that it had to go down like that, but I'm lucky to say I have the best stepdad in the world that shows me how a real man should treat a woman.

I have and can say I genuinely felt guilty and still do. 
My husband and I had been married 8 years and together we had a 7 , 6 and 1 year old. We were young and had a rough start with struggle after struggle.  I ended up falling into a deep postpartum depression and it turned into many other mental instabilities.  We moved to a new town I was completely alone my husband worked over an hr away in the city. I had no car and was stuck in a downward spiral. All of a sudden I was having an affair with the neighbor I can't even grasp or remember the details because the state of my mind was a mess. I'm glad I don't remember the thought alone makes me ill. He blames my mental state but I blame my self and always will. Now a year and a half later we are doing really good and I have fully recovered.  But the burden of guilt hangs over me always.

I know pleanty of people who have cheated. My best friend cheated on one of her bfs. She felt really guilty about it but she knew that the relationship wasnt moving forward because of his problems. She ended up breaking up with him like 2 days after. My SO's has cheated many times. She cheated on a guy she was with and engaged to before my SO with my SO. She cheated on my SO and left him for that guy. She married the guy she cheated on my SO with and had 2 affairs and they are now divorcing. Needless to say her actions speak loud and clear that she doesn't feel bad about any of it.

Personally I have always been against it until my one bf. I have been faithful to every boyfriend I had regardless of if they cheated or not until this one. I was with him for almost a year. I think it basically was more like friends with benefits as we mainly had an attraction to eachother physically but we were so different and he was such a douche to begin with. He was talking to his two exs while "with" me and I knew he was doing other stuff behind my back. He always choose going out and partying over me. Never would come around I always had to go to his house. And we fought constantly. I don't think our "relationship" was ever serious. Obviously we did call ourselves bf and gf. But after so long of dealing with him I hung out with a good guy friend of mine who I've always been attracted to but never acted on anything. We had some drinks and ended up having sex and I did feel so guilty as I was exhnically dating that other guy. But then I realized he has been doing it to me the entire time and never took our relationship serious. And I ended up leaving him. Other than that I've never done anything to any serious relationship I've had. That guy was more so a fling after we both had broken up with our previous bf and gf prior and I think rebounded onto eachother.

I did two years ago on Halloween. My husband and I were fighting for days and I guess on a "break" but we were still living together and raising his daughter together and this "break" only lasted a few days. I cheated on him with a guy who used to be a fuck buddy for years (haven't talked to this guy since). I was so upset and angry with my husband and thinking he was cheating on me so I got drunk and slept with this other guy. The guilt ate me alive for weeks (still kills me to this day!!) I told my husband a few weeks later. Seeing his hurt made the guilt so much worse. We are stronger than ever and have not had one fight since!
