round ligament pain-- why right side?

I've read up on round ligament pain since it just started for me 21 weeks. But why is it mostly on the right side? I know it can be both, mine is on the right and I read where it's more common on the right, but why?

Mine is only on the right side at 34 weeks because my baby has been on that side of my stomach for over a month. The extra weight on that side is causing more strain now that he is 5+ lbs.

Mine were always consistently on my left side, I even only have stretch marks on the low left side of my stomach, through four pregnancies now. So weird.

Are you right handed?? Sometimes depending on our dominant side, we can strain that side more
