TTC Someone please help me understand a few things or some advice

I had my baby in October

I've finally started my period yesterday 12/20

Yes I'm wanting another child. I don't want your opinion on that issue.

However when trying for my baby I had trouble. Almost took a year. (After a miscarriage)

I've seen things about ovulation test? When would I take that? Right after my period? Or what?

And has anyone tried concieve plus?

I just want to try. My husband works out of state so with what little time we do have I'd like to help my chances :(
