Is getting induced an option or do you get induced for a medical reason.  ?? Ftm

You don't want it unless it's medically necessary. It comes with risks like increasing your chances for a c section.  It's also not always successful.

My sister was given an induction on her due date because she told them she was having mental health issues and severe anxiety. They will do it if they think it's the better option. I ended up going 6 days overdue because I wanted a natural birth and dreaded having to be induced. She just wanted epidural and baby out ASAP. It all went fine for both of us

Most of the time it's because of medical need. Some will induce once you get to your due date.

The dr I have asked if I wanted to be induced at 39 weeks since I have favorable conditions so idk, I guess it depends on the hospital/dr you have. But my other kids were born 35_36 weeks though so this is the farthest I've ever go a term wise. Also I went from 0 cm to 3 cm in 2 weeks then just stopped progressing

I've asked if they can induce me now because I'm tired of being pregnant I'm 39+1 and they said that once I hit 40wks they can set up a appointment . I guess you either have to pass your due date or it needs to be for medical reasons 😩😕😒
