So my 4 month old has had a cough and cold like symptoms for almost 2 weeks. I took her to the clinic yesterday and the doctor said she has an ear infection and prescribed amoxicillin. So I gave her the first dose last night. 1.5 hours later she starting throwing up. And not just regular spit up. She was also doing a new cry and had a bit of stridor (high pitched sound on inhaling). I called a nurse who said to get her checked out by a doctor within the next 12 hours :(

She here I am the next morning getting prepared to take my little girl to the ER! I wish we had a family doctor but she left a few months ago and I'm not waiting until tonight for the clinic.

Anyone elses baby had croup before? I'm not 100% sure that's what she has but the nurse thinks that's what it is. I'll find out today.

I just hate seeing my girl in pain from coughing and finding it difficult to breathe :(

UPDATE: We went to the hospital. The doctor checked her out and said her lungs sound great! He said the cough didn't sound quite like croup but it could be the start of it. He said that if she gets any worse then to go back and if she does develop croup will need steroids! He did say the reason her voice is going is because of mucus around her trachea. I'm glad to know she's okay:) and also to keep her on the amoxicillin
