best IUD after birth?

I have been doing some research on birth control. I know I definitely will be getting some form of it as soon as I have my baby and I think an IUD is the best route for me. I am forgetful with pills.. The shot makes me gain a ton of weight & I want something that last a good while.. Which one have yall had? What was your experience with it? Any help is greatly appreciated! :)
