At what age did your little one stop believing in santa?

This year the magic has all gone my son is "too grown up" and doesn't believe any more, I knew this day would come but they have to grown I sooner or later

Well sadly my 6 year old stepson stopped believing this year 'cause his mother just straight up told him w/ out discussing it w/ my husband 1st. We had gone to pick him up & out of the blue in the backseat he says "Mama told me Santa isn't real." We were both so startled we didn't say anything really @ that time. It's hard 'cause we don't really know how the conversation went but later we talked to him about what he thought of that & then hubs & I said that it's true Santa is not a person w/ a toy workshop that lands on your roof & brings u presents but Santa represents the Spirit of Christmas & everyone who celebrates Christmas has that spirit inside them so when we give each other gifts or do something nice for each we're all like Santa, all sharing the spirit of Christmas w/ each other. He seemed to like that, he made us both some kind of paper creations w/ pens & glue & tape so he's excited to be "like Santa" & give us the gifts on Christmas :)

I really dont know why people make Santa a big deal and turn it into some cruel lie. They're kids...it's for them not you. They have plenty of time to become jaded individuals with not a hint of innocence left...why rush it? To seem like a "better" parent that doesn't "lie" to their children. Kudos to you!

I hate christmas but there is something sweet about a child who believe in magic in magicless world. If you insist on telling your child that santa isnt real that's your right but could you please tell your kid to shut their traps and not ruin it for the other kids? Let them be know it alls at home with you in good company.

I never believed in  Santa my mom told me the truth right off the back and my older sister told me who Saint Nick was and the story behind it . Same with my nephew who is 3  we will not lie to him and tell him that some man comes and brings gifts when truly it's family and friends that give him the gifts.

I wondered the same thing. My youngest just turned 10 and still believes. I feel like I should tell him after this year so kids don't make fun of him. But idk. I don't want to be a jerk and crush him 😂. I was crushed when I found out Santa wasn't real. All the magic was gone.

My niece is 11 and one of the kids in her class went around telling everyone their parents said Santa isn't real to ask their own parents if they didn't believe her. Needless to say, she wants to believe, but now knows and keeps the act up for my nephew (6).
