How long did you wait to have sex after giving birth?

I had a C-section 5 weeks ago and my husband has been pawing at me ever since lol. My OB said wait 6 weeks to heal and not any sooner! We will be using protection since my 6 week check up I'll be able to get on birth control. Just curious who actually waited 6 weeks and if not did you have any complications?? Should I risk it?

Serious the risk of hemorrhage that could be fatal is not worth sex early. It just isn't. Then let's add to the risk of infection.

My dr always told me 6 weeks for vaginal (I had one) and 4-6 for C section (I had two). Your dr gave you specific instructions to wait 6 weeks. So wait

I mean it's a week I'd definitely wait, not worth the risk he's made it this long he can make it just a little longer. And you could always just take care of him that's what I did lol

I know people do it but personally why risk something happening? Your doctor gives you those restrictions for a reason and your so close I would just wait honestly
