anyone agree ? disagree ?

Okay so I just read a topic on children abuse and it said disciplining your child needs to be stopped because it's abuse. Now I disagree completely with this !! I feel as though children being abused and disciplined are two different things . Abusing them is when they are treated non humanly , beat , physically , emotionally hurt etc etc that is just a no and whoever hurts their children that way should be arrested and slow painful death in my opinion !! But disciplining them to me is a little pop on the hand for hitting , kicking , spitting basic things of that sort. Teaching them right for wrong. Does anyone else agree or am I the only one ? 

UPDATE: I don't know why this is getting a lot of back lash but I do not agree with abuse of children or anyone ! So stop commenting like I'm so horrible for agreeing with a pop on the hand . You people act like I said I agree with brutally hurting kids ! I'm not so if you feel like I am I'm sorry but you clearly haven't read what I said correctly !
