Vaginal pain??

For the past two days I've been dealing with some major pain in the (sorry) lips of my vagina. It's right around the the vaginal opening. It feels dry, itchy and inflamed. It's not a yeast infection I know from experience. But it hurts like hell! I am on my period and I use tampons so right now every time I walk the tail of the tampon I'd rubbing the area and hurting it more. Help me please!
