Swelling

Anyone else having extreme swelling problems? It's to the point now where the excess fluid in my feet is painful and it feels like it jiggles around with every step. I've tried compression stockings and will be cutting salt out of my diet. I see my doctor today. I'm thinking about sleeping in my recliner with pillows under my feet. I know it's not a blood clot as it's in both feet and I've had blood clots before and this is not the same pain. Is there anything else I could do that I'm not thinking of?
