Baby shower at 6 p.m.?

Hello ladies my friend is throwing us a baby shower and shes making it for 6pm. Weve asked if we can make it earlier like 2pm (lunch)and she said the place wont do it cause they already have an earlier reservation. Would you attend a baby shower that started at 6? Im already super scared that nobody is going to show and especially with it being at 6... ? Would you attend if you were invited to a party at 6 at a pizza place?
