how many is too many?

Ok so I'm coming here for help. I called the on call doctor and he was useless.

My dd had a stomach bug Christmas eve and we ended up in the hospital for dehydration. I now have the bug and have thrown up 7 times in 3 hours. When should I be concerned with my own dehydration. Also I'm 38 weeks pregnant. The doctor just said try to push fluids and let it pass. I can't even keep water in right now.

Yes go get fluids through IV

I have severe hyperemesis and was told if i dont hold any liquids down after 6 hours i need a IV drip. Try 2.5 mils of boiled cooled water or bottled water every 20minutes. You should be able to tolerate this after two hours and increase to 5mls. If not its a trip to hospital. You may need anti sickness medications. Hope you feel better soon

If you can't keep down fuilds you need to go in so you can get an IV. It's not worth the risk.
