14 weeks: headaches?

Question

I've started to get headaches almost daily since I was about 13 and a half weeks. I've been taking Tylenol but it kind of bothers me that I'm having to take it everyday. I spoke with my mom who said it may be a sign of pre-eclampsia. Could it be a sign this early? I've read that with the change of hormones it's normal but I'm getting concerned. Next appointment with my OB is at 17 weeks so if they I will mention it to her then unless they get worse.

I've been having headaches too but I refuse to take anything.  I know it's safe but my thought is that I already have to take medication that's not 100% approved so let's not add to it.  My dr said drink more & stay hydrated but not to worry it's the start of the second trimester and is common.

Some pharmacies have those blood pressure machines, you could go check if you are worried

I have the same problem. My doctor told me to take magnesium once a day with my prenatals and to drink some caffeine with it. So far t has worked like a charm and my migraines have been minimal unless I haven't been sleeping. Good luck!

I had a headache that lasted about a month as soon as I hit my second trimester in my last pregnancy. Try a little caffeine, and definitely tell your doctor before it goes on for too long. I waited too long, and he finally prescribed me fioricet which really helped. Luckily it went away after about 4 weeks total.

I've been getting headaches in the evening when I don't have an afternoon snack.... For me it seems to be purely blood sugar related. I have more water and some grapes or other sugary fruit and feel better (and really hungry!) within minutes!

Have you tried eating smaller portions more frequently?

Pretty common I think, I wouldn't be concerned but if you're still having them by next OB visit mention it. I had daily headaches from like 12-14 weeks it was awful! But they did go away!

I'm diagnosed with migraines but these headache have been beyond migraine painful. It could possibly be a sign of high blood pressure but for me it's not. I normally run 90/60- 110/75. (So I run low) Yet these headaches are no joke. I'll take Tylenol when possible otherwise I take my fioricet. If you feel as though you're taking too much I would call the doctor and talk about the headache and what other options you may have open.

I get frequent headaches.  I'm 14 weeks today and my dog ate my glasses and my backup set and my contacts off the sink and they've only gotten worse 😩
