Midwife/ natural birth?

Hello! EDD with baby #1 is August 22, I am about 6 weeks. My first prenatal appt is January 10th, I am anxiously waiting! My appt January 10th is just with my local doctors office OB, but I have consultations with 2 Midwives in the next few weeks as well to see who I like better. I am likely going to use one of the midwives, and looking into doulas as well. I would love to hear anyone's experiences with both and any questions I should be asking them on our consults!?! This is our first baby so I don't even know what to ask! Thank you!!!

I have had two hospital births (the first with an epidural and the second all natural) and one birthing center birth with a midwife. The birthing center birth was my favorite and I wish I'd done it for my other births. Even my husband, who was the reason we had hospital births to begin with, thinks going with a midwife is the way to go now.
Definitely do your research and know what you want your birth to be like. I spent a ton of time reading Evidence Based Birth (it is a website) and learned so much and talked to my midwife with whatever questions I had based on my reading. Whether you birth in a hospital, birthing center, or at home, educate yourself and do what you think is best for you and your little one. ❤️

Following. I had a horrible experience with my OBGYN during my last pregnancy and miscarriage. It was so impersonal, rushed and she didn't even want to do a follow up appointment after my D&C. We are meeting with a midwife for out 1st appointment this time and hoping it will get the time we need to see the baby during ultrasounds and ask questions. It's great to hear otherwise people's thoughts and experiences!

My obgyn is actually a certifies Doula  and all natural advocate.  I Meet her tomorrow.

I have done both natural, and planning on doing the same with this one. I'm terrified of needles, especially when I can't see what's going on.. lol this time I'll try to do the water birth ❤️

Baby #1 due August 8th. we're doing an in home birth with a midwife. We've already met her before since I have had one pregnancy before. Since my miscarriage she's been my rock. I am choosing in home natural water birth because I hate hospitals, I don't want to use drugs, I feel our home is a better place to welcome a child into the world. We will see how well our attention needing pitties do 😂

Every time I've gone to the regular doc I've had some kind of issue (twice I've not had my second hgc paperwork sent over to be able to get the test, the first time they rejected me so I didn't find out I had a miscarriage until I bled again a few WEEKS later and went to the er) the second time we were able to call the office and get it sent over but I was NOT leaving without my second test 🙄) and a few times they didn't have me get all the tests for my blood draws so I had to go in a second time.

I feel midwives are more personal in general so I love that!
