People: You're only 17. You're still a child. You don't know anything. Stay in child's place.
Same People: You're 18, you're mature enough to be on your own quit mooching off your parents. Be independent and figure it out yourself.
Edit: This shit went over most if y'alls head. I'm not complaining about higher expectations. I'm complaining about how we treat teenagers under 18, for the sole purpose that it's the legal age of consent. Like we get discredited and people ignore our opinions just because we're 17. Especially on eve...js🙄
