bleeding?

I've been on the pill nearly a year and the past I've skipped my period the past 3 months because it hasn't suited I haven't had any break through bleeding until I think now, it's really really light (tmi but like the brown stuff at the start) is it breaking through bleeding or an actual period? Pretty positive I'm not pregnant but I've had unprotected sex with my boy a couple times this week
