croup?!

Question

10 month old has croup I think...fever 101.5 and seal barky cough.  She seems okay otherwise and I called the Dr on call. They said Motrin and bath.   Any other tips for me?  I feel so bad for her.  I also bought a cool mist dehumidifier.

It's awful for the baby and awful for the parents.  A restless week for sure.  The best advice I can give is to go to sleep as soon as baby does at night because you're in for a longgg night (s) of waking up every hour or few hours if you are lucky!  We tried everything!  Just have to let it run its course.

Poor baby - my son has just recovered from this, he couldn't sleep very well at. Igbo, I propped his cot up at on end so he was sleeping on a slight incline to help with his airways - he often woke in the night and I would let him sleep on my chest - good luck mama xxxx
